One very stormy winter, none of the fishermen of the village of Mousehole in Cornwall were able to leave the harbour for a long while and the village was near starvation. Tom Bawcock and his loyal black and white cat, Mowzer, decided to brave the storms and set sail to catch some fish. When the boat hits the storm, made by the Great Storm-Cat, Mowzer began to purr and her purring eventually became a song which soothes the Storm-Cat as the cat is calm Tom is able to make his catch, the town celebrated by baking dishes one of which was Star-Gazy Pie.
